Summer Reading Program 2024!

We are excited to announce that we will be launching our 2024 summer reading program beginning June 6th! The theme this year is Adventure Begins at Your Library, and we couldn't agree more. What adventure will you find at the library this summer? We have events planned for kids, teens, and adults this year!

2024 Children's Program Schedule
June 6th
  • 12:00 – Program signups begin (all day)
  • 1:00 – Meet the biggest bugs you've ever seen and learn about creepy crawlies with Wildlife Safari!
June 13th
  • 1:00 – Journey Under the Sea to learn about kelp forests and undersea wildlife with the Museum of Natural and Cultural History!
June 20th
  • 1:00 – Make your own colorful tie-dye creations with Victoria Carnate! (This is both a kids' and teens' event)
June 27th
  • 1:00 – Meet Smokey Bear and plant trees! Do you know the story behind the famous bear?
July 11th
  • 1:00 – Have some foot-tapping musical fun with local musician Joe Ross!
July 18th
  • 1:00 – Meet some new scaly friends when Jungle Things brings reptiles to the library!
July 25th
  • 1:00 – Rock painting! Reading awards! Don't miss it!

2024 Teens' Program Schedule
June 6th
  • 12:00 – Program signups begin (all day)
June 20th
  • 1:00 – Make your own colorful tie-dye creations with Victoria Carnate! (This is both a kids' and teens' event)
July 9th
  • 1:00 – Want to level up your rock-painting skills? Come paint rocks with fun dot mandalas!

2024 Adult Program Schedule
June 6th
  • 12:00 – Program signups begin (all day)
June 18th
  • 6:00 – Meet three local authors and hear how their books came to be! Caren Hahn, Martin Follose, and Robert Leo Heilman will also be offering the chance to purchase their books afterwards.
July 2nd
  • 6:00 – Local archaeologist and plant-lover Rene Burk will give a talk about local wild edible plants.
July 16th
  • 6:00 – Dale Greenley will give a historical presentation about the history of pioneers and settlers in the Riddle area!
