Pre-school storytimes are held at the Riddle City Library on the first and third Thursdays during the school year. Bring your littles and join us at 11:30 a.m. for some book-themed fun!
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library
The libraries in Canyonville, Glendale, Myrtle Creek, Oakland, Riddle, Sutherlin and Winston have collaborated, through the Douglas Community Library Association, to bring Imagination Library to their communities. The program aims to increase literacy by mailing free books to the homes of children from birth until age five, so that they can improve their chances for success in school and later life.
Register online, or complete a paper form and return it to a participating library!
Book Monsters is a book club designed for children in kindergarten through second grade. Once each month, a free book (to keep) will be mailed to each student by the Riddle City Library, and every quarter (circumstances permitting) there will be a club party! You may register your child by filling out a paper form obtained through the library.
Note: Openings are limited, so preference will be given to students who are residents of Riddle as resources allow. Other children will be placed on a waiting list. Students who are already signed up for the program do not need to sign up again.

Our very active group of Book Club members meets each month to discuss and compare thoughts on a book of the group's choice. This group is for you if you love a variety of great reads! The genres the Book Club has selected over the years include everything from mysteries, to true stories, to foreign topics, and humor and much more. You're sure to love this engaging discussion group who find joy in getting together for a good cup of tea and delectable snacks as they study each plot and character with enthusiasm!
